We are pleased that
you and others in your area are interested in founding a local
chapter of the International Guild of Glass Artists.
The Model Bylaws will assist you
in doing just that. We suggest that you read them through
with others in your area who propose to found the local chapter,
following the instructions and suggestions included, then
decide on your local chapter's name and write that in the
space provided on the cover sheet. If you prefer, you can
send us your "snail-mail"
address, so we can forward the complete Local Chapter Package.
When you have made whatever changes, alterations or amendments
your local chapter feels are necessary, return the set of
Model Bylaws to the IGGA Chapters Committee (the address is
included with the Model Bylaws) for its approval, as outlined
in the text. An approved set of bylaws, with your local chapter's
name in place wherever it appears, stamped with the IGGA Seal
will be returned to you with the IGGACC's approval letter.
If your group is founded with at least ten artist members,
it will automatically be qualified for an IGGA
Chapter StartupGrant to assist in your startup costs.
Additional annual funding is also available in the form of
annual chapter grants. |
